
Susan Moore, M.S., R.D is a registered dietitian with over 25 years experience in the field of weight management and disordered eating. She is the former Program Manager for the George Washington University Weight Management Program where she led weekly cognitive-behavioral groups and coordinated the clinic’s other nutritional classes. Prior to this position she co-led the Woman’s Bulimia Group in Tampa, Florida and was a behavioral program leader for the Institute of Health Maintenance also in Tampa. In addition to her private practice, Ms. Moore is currently the Site Director for the Virginia Dietetic Internship Program in Northern Virginia.
Ms. Moore’s professional memberships include the Virginia and American Dietetic Associations. She served on the Board of Directors for the Washington Society for the Study of Eating Disorders and Obesity from 1990-1997. She currently serves on the Legislative and Public Policy Committee of the Board of Directors the American Dietetic Association.
Ms. Moore has a B.S. degree in Clinical and Community Nutrition from the University of Florida and a M.S. degree in Adult Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is also a Certified L.E.A.P therapist (LEAP test measures sensitivities to food and chemicals).
